Gone but not forgotten, Orphans

The start of the Twentieth Century witnessed an explosion in transportation technology. Flint soon became a leader in automobile production with an array of companies competing for business. However the difficulties of distribution and the cost of materials drove many small makers out of business. Automobiles produced by some of the local companies are displayed here.

Orphan: An entire make of vehicle which is no longer in production. These cars are sometimes bought out by larger companies or fail.
